Management of the inspectors, whose work is fundamental to achieving the charitable objects of the society, has been the responsibility of Hilda Bowler. The increasing number of inspectors, as well as managing the data base of reported faults on paths, and the many other calls on Hilda's time, has now proved too much for her, and so we are very pleased that David Gosling has agreed to take over managing the recruitment, training and development of the inspectorate. Another volunteer, Peter Goulden, will be in charge of the inspector data base. Please note that inspectors should continue to report faults to Hilda in the same way as they do now, since she will continue to manage the faults data base. We are very grateful for Hilda's work over the past years.
