On 26th April 2013, Sally Ann Holland (Congleton Town Mayor) joined sixty walkers as we celebrated our success in having Congleton 82, the missing link between the Cloud and the Bridestones ancient monument, added to the Definitive Map. In addition to walking the new link path, walkers were able to walk the newly diverted Rushton Spencer 51 which now crosses field and passes through a pleasant wooded area rather then the old route which passed through a stock yard and sewer pipe. The Society received good press coverage from Roly Smith in the Manchester Evening News and in the Congleton Chronicle.
