Did you know that 4 visitor centres operated by the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) are at risk of closure? Castleton Visitor Centre Whilst the centres attract thousands of visitors it is reported that it costs around £400,000 a year to run them. There was good news earlier this month when the Derby Telegraph reported that a mystery donor has offered to fund the centres for the next 3 years. Watch this space for further news.
