Walkers are very welcome in Hayfield Hayfield has always been a friendly and welcoming village but now it’s official! Led by a new group, the village has just been officially accredited full Walkers Are Welcome status by the national initiative which was set up to promote walking in areas with something different to offer. The new group, Hayfield Walkers Are Welcome, will host a launch event on Saturday 31st August, with guided walks at different levels of difficulty, all starting and finishing at the village hall. And in the evening there will be a fundraising music gig with local bands, the Gally Canters and Recover. Full details can be found here or just check out the group's website
