Derbyshire County Council have recently published a Modification Order Consultation in which they propose to legally recognise a Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT) in Castleton and Bradwell parishes. PNFS are seeking evidence which might help to show that the route is not a BOAT, as the council states in the order. Does anyone have any knowledge of the condition of the route shown on the attached map during the 1980s and 1990s? Did you walk the route during that period? Do you remember seeing other users - walkers, horseriders, cyclists, motorbikes, 4x4 vehicles? If so when, how many?
