Washgate TRO consultation

Published on 2016-03-14 21:35:48

The Peak District National Park Authority has begun a formal consultation about making a Traffic Regulation Order on the unclassified road known as Washgate. The effect of the TRO, if made, would be to prohibit access along the lane by recreational motorised vehicles at all times. The society will discuss its own response to the consultation at the C&IO meeting on 8 April, but it is hoped that many members of the society and the general public will respond to the consultation to support the making of the TRO in the interest of walkers. Washgate goes south-westards from Booth Farm, SK05746801, crossing from Derbyshire to Staffordshire at a bridge over the River Dove, and ends at Tenterhill, SK04826726 [map]. You can read full details of the TRO and make comments online or by post. See the National Park's web page, Traffic Regulation Order Consultation: Washgate.
